Thanks so much for sharing Gerhard. I love them all. Happy New Year. I am looking forward to your 2013 Photos.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Laura! Here's wishing for a super exciting 2013! I'd love to visit you in the spring to see your garden paradise.
DeleteBeautiful! Thank you for sharing...
ReplyDeleteWow there are some beauties there! I'm trying really hard to be happy that some Grevillea are hardy here in Portland and not be completely over the top jealous that the beautiful ones (as well as the Protea and Leucadendron) aren't...
ReplyDeleteI wish our winters were just a tad milder, then we could grow proteas.
DeleteOTOH, my Grevillea 'Superb' is producing its first set of flowers. I can't wait for them to open up but that might take a while.
Wow, wow, wow!
ReplyDeleteYour photography skills and quality of photos are superb Gerhard! It's difficult to choose which ones of them are our favourite as all of them look great. Looking forward to seeing what new photos you will feature in the coming new year :)
Thank you for the kind words, guys!
DeleteComing up next is a three-part post about the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. I was there yesterday and took 350 photos. Quite a few aloes were in bloom, others are getting ready to flower.
What an exhibition! It was a busy year with so many interesting and beautiful posts -- I hope 2013 will live up to the standard. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI don't plan on slowing down, and I hope you won't either. You set the bar very high with your own blog :-).
DeleteWonderful, wonderful photos! I sometimes forget how very different the American southwest looks, almost like another world. I've never actually been there, but your photos make me itch to travel.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the Southwest is a completely different world. If I couldn't live where I live now, I'd probably move to Arizona or New Mexico. The land and the light are so magical, not to mention the plants.
DeleteWow! Just gorgeous shots. I am glad you did not try to just pick one. THanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteFirst I was going to pick 12 photos (12 for 2012) but then I decided to keep going. I'm never one for restraint, LOL!
DeleteOutstanding photography this year Gerhard! You were a busy guy going all over the place like you did! I hope to see more of you in the New Year. Have a nice time tonight and be safe! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Candy. That's high praise coming from a blogger you takes fantastic photos herself :-).
DeleteMarvelous!
