What a great shot for wordless Wednesday! You know as I stared at this beautiful aloe it seems that I see pulsating colors coming from the center. Do you see what I mean. Maybe I drank too much diet coke! Hahaha!
This agave is actually much bluer but I "bleached" the photo a little to bring out the lines in the leaves. It's definitely one of my favorites--a hybrid called 'Blue Flame.'
Alan, you're not kidding. And if it's not the edges that get you, it's the terminal spine. Although this agave is still one of the "gentler" ones.
Mark, it's an Agave 'Blue Flame' (Agave shawii x Agave attenuata). The leaves are much sturdier than those of an attenuata, but it has that elegant attenuata look. It's a fast grower, much faster than my Agave attenuata 'Nova'.

ReplyDeleteAgave leaves look so great! Then you take a close look at the edges and know you need to keep away.

That's a stunning Agave Gerhard! What is it?
